Robert F. Kennedy Community had lost 12 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 1-8 to make it 13. They fell 21-16 to the Contreras Cobras. On the bright side, the 16- run effort marked the Bobcats' highest-scoring match to date.

As for Contreras, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.7 runs over those games.

For Contreras' part, the team relied heavily on Joselyn Carrasco, who got four hits. Carrasco has been hot recently, having posted four or more hits the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dahila Canul, who got two hits.
