Basketball Recap: Roosevelt Takes a Loss

Roosevelt was the 74-72 winner over Pelham Memorial when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Roosevelt Sharks fell to the Pelham Memorial Pelicans 73-69. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (58), the Sharks still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for Roosevelt and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Pelham Memorial, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Roosevelt will take on Nyack in a tournament on Friday. As for Pelham Memorial, they will be taking part in a tournament against Barack Obama School for Social Justice at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Barack Obama School for Social Justice is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.4 points per game this season.
