The Colleton County Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the Beaufort Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Colleton County will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Cougars on Tuesday. Everything went Colleton County's way against Edisto as they made off with an 18-1 victory. Considering Colleton County has won 12 games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Bre Gerard was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Gerard was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Colleton County got a massive performance out of Alexia Eversole, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those six RBI gave Eversole a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lanasia Sanders, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
Colleton County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .720. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 19 runs the game before, Beaufort was a bit more limited in their contest two weeks ago. They came up short against May River, falling 15-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Sharks: they've now lost nine in a row.
Adalyn Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and 13 unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up eight Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game.
On the hitting side, Beaufort saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Arianna Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Beaufort now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Colleton County, they pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Colleton County was able to grind out a solid victory over Beaufort when the teams last played on April 3rd, winning 9-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
