Volleyball Recap: Rittman Triumphs

Rittman's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They won by a set and slipped past the Andrews Osborne Academy Phoenix 3-2.

The win didn't come easy: Andrews Osborne Academy scored at least ten points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 21-25, 18-25, 15-10.

Mackenzie Beltz went supernova, getting eight digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Beltz, who had 16 digs and two assists.

Rittman picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-6. As for Andrews Osborne Academy, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-3.

Rittman has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Chippewa on the 16th. As for Andrews Osborne Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Laurel on the 16th.
