Basketball Recap: Carter-Riverside Eagles vs. Young Men's Leadership Academy        
        
		
            
 The Carter-Riverside Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Tuesday after their 22nd straight  defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a  tough 51-26 walloping at the hands of Young Men's Leadership Academy. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Carter-Riverside of the  66-40 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture  back in January.
 Despite the  loss, Carter-Riverside saw an underclassman step up:  Johnathan Owens  scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Owens has scored all season.
 Carter-Riverside  struggled to get the ball back on offense and  finished the game with only four  offensive rebounds. They are  winless (0-5) when  they can't control their own glass like that.
 Carter-Riverside's loss was  their sixth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 2-24. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's  offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.3 points per game. As for Young Men's Leadership Academy, their win  ended a three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 6-17.
 Coincidentally, Carter-Riverside and the  will both be playing the Bobcats the next time they take the court. Young Men's Leadership Academy will  host Benbrook at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday, while Carter-Riverside will head out to face them  at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
