Basketball Recap: New Haven Snaps 17-Game Streak of Losses at Home

New Haven had to endure a ten-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 44-33 victory over the Fort Wayne South Side Archers on Wednesday. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 50-37 loss the last time these two teams met.

Fort Wayne South Side lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Maddie White, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 16 boards. Another player making a difference was BriTanya Diedrich-Williams, who posted seven points.

New Haven's win ended a 17-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-11. As for Fort Wayne South Side, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

New Haven and Fort Wayne South Side could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. New Haven (ranked 343rd) will meet Bellmont (ranked 19th) at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Fort Wayne South Side (ranked 333rd) will meet Fort Wayne Northrop (ranked 29th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
