Volleyball Recap: Campo Verde Wins High-Profile Contest Against Payson

Campo Verde faced Payson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Coyotes had just enough and edged out the Longhorns 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Coyotes.

Campbell Hollister paced Campo Verde's offense, picking up nine kills. Hollister got some help from Riley Swezey and her 12 assists. Morgan Meyer controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Campo Verde's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Payson, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 5-1.

Campo Verde wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Gilbert Christian on the 30th. As for Payson, they have also already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against Veritas Prep on the 30th.
