Softball Recap: Wilmot Comes Up Short

The matchup between Wilmot and Burlington on Monday hardly resembled the 3-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Panthers fell 14-9 to the Demons. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Demons: they've now lost four in a row.

Sarah Josko was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Angie Perez was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.

Wilmot's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Burlington, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Wilmot will host Indian Trail at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Burlington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Beloit Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
