Brantley County lost to Fitzgerald back in November of 2017, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Brantley County Herons secured a 45-41 W over the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Herons.

Fitzgerald's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kianti McDuffie, who posted 12 points. That's the most points McDuffie has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Sanorra McKind, who earned 13 points.

Brantley County's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Fitzgerald, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Brantley County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 48-33 victory against Bacon County on the 4th. As for Fitzgerald, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 45-42 win against Turner County on the 4th.
