Baseball Recap: Moapa Valley Pirates vs. Sports Leadership & Management Bulls
The home team had come away the winner the last five times Moapa Valley and Sports Leadership & Management had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Moapa Valley Pirates walked away with a 12-7 win over the Sports Leadership & Management Bulls on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Bulls: they've now won seven in a row.

Garrett Hadley was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lucas Pettingill, who went 2-for-5 with one home run and four RBI. Evan Jones also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
