Softball Preview: Highland Park Hornets vs. Sunray Bobcats

The Highland Park Hornets will head out on the road to square off against the Sunray Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Highland Park is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Highland Park made easy work of Follett and carried off a 15-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

Kaitlin Lucas was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Lucas was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI.

They fell just short of the Greyhounds by a score of 14-12. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Highland Park's record is now 5-12-1. As for Sunray, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
