Baseball Game Preview: Cordell Blue Devils vs. Hollis Tigers

The Cordell Blue Devils will venture away from home to square off against the Hollis Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cordell is looking for their season's first win.

Cordell lost 10-3 to Burns Flat-Dill City on Monday.

Cordell saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Briggs R, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Blane M also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Hollis was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They fell 6-2 to Sayre.

Klay Seddon was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Cordell's record is now 0-18. As for Hollis, their record now sits at 3-12-1.

Cordell suffered a grim 15-1 defeat to Hollis in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
