Basketball Recap: Wilcox Central Jaguars vs. Central Lions
Wilcox Central took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They strolled past the Central Lions with points to spare, taking the game 80-63. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Jaguars also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Christian Lawrence, who earned 18 points. Another player making a difference was Iyanis Wallace, who went 7 for 17 en route to 14 points plus seven rebounds.
Wilcox Central will look to defend their home court on Monday against Monroe County at 7:00 p.m. As for Central, they will head out to face off against Luverne at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
