The Farmington Farmers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Peoria Christian Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
On Tuesday, Farmington was the victim of a tough 62-37 loss at the hands of Illini Bluffs. While losing is never fun, Farmington can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while Illini Bluffs is ranked 141st).
In what's become a running theme this season, Peoria Christian gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Lewistown, posting a 60-25 victory at home. The victory was nothing new for Peoria Christian as they're now sitting on three straight.
Peoria Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Malachi Persinger out in front who scored 11 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Trae Brickner, who scored 18 points along with two steals.
Farmington's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-12. As for Peoria Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.
