Baseball Recap: Harrison Starts off Right with Win over Twin Lakes

Harrison had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let the Twin Lakes Indians get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Lyrik Neal looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, Drew McTagertt was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kendrick Pena, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Harrison always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Twin Lakes only posted an OBP of .167.

Twin Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Harrison will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Kokomo at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Twin Lakes, they will face off against Crown Point at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
