Bushland has gone a perfect 9-0 against River Road recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Bushland will host River Road at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bushland has three straight victories, River Road has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Bushland made easy work of Tulia and carried off a 10-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Lincoln Krause and Wade McConnell made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Krause didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over 5.1 innings pitched. Meanwhile, McConnell tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for Bushland: the team is undefeated when he allows at most three hits, but 6-9 otherwise. At the plate, Krause scored a run while going 2-for-3, while McConnell went 3-for-4 with three doubles, one run, and one RBI. The dominant performance also gave Krause a new career-high in doubles (two).
In other batting news, Max Rodriguez and Colton Reynolds did most of the damage at the plate: Rodriguez scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Reynolds went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. That's the most stolen bases Reynolds has posted since back in March of 2024. Colton Strickland was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Bushland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .364 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between River Road and Dalhart, and Dalhart kept the tradition alive. River Road came up short against Dalhart on Friday, falling 11-1.
River Road's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Bushland, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
River Road's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bushland hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .339. It's a different story for River Road, though, as they've only averaged .235. Will they be able to contain Bushland's hitters?
Bushland took their win against River Road in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 18-0. Will Bushland repeat their success, or does River Road has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
