Gerharz has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Senn was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in five consecutive matches.
Senn pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Von Steuben, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Von Steuben hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .376. However, it's not like Senn struggles in that department as they've averaged .413. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
