Volleyball Recap: Newcastle Gets the Win

After losing to Burns the last time they met, Newcastle decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Newcastle Dogies walked away with a 3-1 win over the Burns Broncs on Saturday.

Sydney Pederson paced Newcastle's offense, picking up 12 kills. Pederson got some help from Kyndal Von Eye and her 35 assists. Pederson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Newcastle's victory bumped their record up to 8-23. As for Burns, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 22 of their last 23 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-30 record this season.

Newcastle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Rawlins on the 2nd. Burns does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
