Basketball Recap: Jace Tonagel Key Part of Team Effort in Golden Eagles Win

Oak Hill won the last time they faced Northwestern and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Oak Hill Golden Eagles came out on top against the Northwestern Tigers by a score of 55-45. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Eagles.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oak Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jace Tonagel, who went 7-for-12 on his way to 20 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The match was Tonagel's third in a row with at least 17 points. Landon Cruzan was another key player, putting up 12 points.

When it comes to explaining why Northwestern lost, don't look at Hayden Cook. Despite the final result, he shot 78% from the field en route to 18 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradyn Wilson, who posted 11 points.

Oak Hill's record now sits at 15-6. As for Northwestern, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.

Oak Hill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-50 win against Delta on the 28th. As for Northwestern, they will square off against West Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. on March 5th.
