Basketball Game Preview: Colleton Prep Academy War Hawks vs. Hilton Head Prep Dolphins

The Colleton Prep Academy War Hawks just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Hilton Head Prep Dolphins at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Colleton Prep Academy is headed into Saturday's contest hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-39 heartbreaker at the hands of Patrick Henry Academy.

Meanwhile, Hilton Head Prep waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victor by a 62-42 margin over the Cavaliers. The Dolphins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Colleton Prep Academy better keep an eye on Courtney Campbell. She was instrumental in Hilton Head Prep's win, almost dropping a triple-double on 26 points, 13 assists, and nine steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Campbell has scored at least a third of Hilton Head Prep's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Erin Cleary, who went 7 of 11 on her way to 20 points and three steals.

Hilton Head Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Hilton Head Prep's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points over those games. As for Colleton Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-8.

Colleton Prep Academy came up short against Hilton Head Prep in their previous meeting on Tuesday, falling 50-38. Can Colleton Prep Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
