Softball Recap: Resurrection Bandits vs. Fenwick Friars
The home team had come away the winner the last five times Resurrection and Fenwick had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bandits came out on top against the Friars by a score of 4-1 on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-1 back in April.
Elizabeth Dorgan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mia Gurdak was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Kruszewski, who went 3-for-4 with one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Resurrection kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 6-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
Resurrection now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Fenwick, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6.
Looking ahead, Resurrection will head out to square off against Saint Ignatius College Prep at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Fenwick, they will face off against Marist at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The RedHawks will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something the Friars surely won't give up without a fight.
