Basketball Recap: McLean Takes a Loss

McLean lost against Follett back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The McLean Tigers received a blow as they fell 50-33 to the Follett Panthers. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, McLean still got an impressive performance from Collin Alston, who went 10 for 20 on his way to 23 points and eight rebounds. Alston has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times he's played.

McLean's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Follett, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the McLean Tigers face off against the Kelton Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McLean is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.2 points per game this season. As for Follett, they will head out to take on Shamrock at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Follett is facing Shamrock at the right time seeing as Shamrock is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
