Volleyball Game Preview: Reed-Custer Comets vs. Pontiac Indians

Reed-Custer hasn't had much luck against Pontiac recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Comets will square off against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Reed-Custer came up short against Manteno and fell 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-1, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Pontiac also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Bloomington Central Catholic by a score of 2-0. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Saints: they've now lost five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-19.

Pontiac's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Reed-Custer, their loss dropped their record down to 3-21.

Reed-Custer couldn't quite get it done against Pontiac in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Comets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
