On Tuesday, Brandon faced Northwest Rankin in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Brandon Bulldogs fell just short of the Northwest Rankin Cougars by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Brandon's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-2-2. As for Northwest Rankin, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-2-1.
