Thorndale had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They never let the Cross Roads Bobcats get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lance Pesl was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Pesl was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Pedro Jimenez was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. Will Cloud was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Thorndale's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Cross Roads, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-1 record.

Looking ahead, Thorndale is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will challenge Rosebud-Lott at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Thorndale's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Rosebud-Lott's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cross Roads, they will be taking part in a tournament against Hamilton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hamilton has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.14 runs per game on average), something Cross Roads will no doubt try to take advantage of.
