Recap: Reno Huskies vs. Lowry Buckaroos
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 11 more assists than your opponent, a fact the Reno Huskies proved on Saturday. They put the hurt on Lowry with a sharp 61-37 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Reno also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Reno to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aidan Casey, who scored 18 points. Levi Boyd was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
When it comes to explaining why Lowry lost, one person who can't be blamed is Matthew Casalez. Despite the final result, he scored 9 points.
Reno's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Lowry, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reno will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Spanish Springs at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. Spanish Springs comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Lowry, they will head out on the road to face off against Reno at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
