Volleyball Recap: Channelview Takes a Loss

It was a Battle of the Birds when Channelview duked it out with Pasadena on Thursday. The Falcons fell 2-0 to the Eagles. The Falcons have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-19.

When it comes to explaining why Channelview lost, don't look at Amy Garcia. Despite the final result, she had 18 digs. With that strong performance, Garcia is now averaging an impressive 10.7 digs per game.

Channelview's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Pasadena, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Channelview and Pasadena will both be playing Angleton the next time they take the court. The Falcons will head out to face the Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
