Softball Recap: Dunnellon's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Williston, Dunnellon was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Lecanto Panthers get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Not much got past Makayla Duncan, who gave up just five hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Lecanto off the board. Duncan has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Addison Rohn, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Dunnellon's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Lecanto, they dropped their record down to 6-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Dunnellon will venture away from home to take on Eastside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lecanto, they will welcome Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
