Volleyball Game Preview: Fenwick Friars vs. Wheaton North Falcons

The Fenwick Friars will take on the Wheaton North Falcons in a tournament on Friday. Fenwick has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 10.

On Thursday, Fenwick came up short against Montini Catholic and fell 2-0.

Fenwick was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Wheaton North posted their closest victory since April 17th on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Geneva 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Wheaton North got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 18-25, 25-23.

Wheaton North's win came from a few key players Fenwick will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Thant Zin, who had 15 digs. That's the most digs he has posted over his last ten contests. Owen Hubner was another key player, getting 16 assists.

Fenwick's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Wheaton North, their win bumped their record up to 16-10.
