Basketball Game Preview: Neshannock Lancers vs. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers

The Neshannock Lancers will head out to challenge the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Neshannock knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Our Lady of the Sacred Heart likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Neshannock earned a 63-52 win over Union Area. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Scotties are ranked 162nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They strolled past the Rams with points to spare, taking the game 53-38.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Neshannock, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1.

Neshannock was able to grind out a solid victory over Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 49-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Neshannock since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
