Football Game Preview: Mater Lakes Academy Bears vs. TERRA Environmental

The Mater Lakes Academy Bears will face off against TERRA Environmental at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Mater Lakes Academy sitting on four straight victories and TERRA Environmental on five.

Mater Lakes Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Everything went their way against Central as they made off with a 22-0 win. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Mater Lakes Academy can attribute much of their success to Valentina Builes, who threw for 168 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 43 yards. That's the most passing yards Builes has posted since back in February.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Mater Lakes Academy's defense and their three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Alessandra Wandembergh. She has been hot recently, having also posted seven or more total tackles the last three times she's played.

Meanwhile, TERRA Environmental beat Hialeah 25-13 on Monday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering TERRA Environmental's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Hialeah is ranked 200th).

Mater Lakes Academy's record now sits at 9-4. As for TERRA Environmental, their record is now 10-3.
