Volleyball Recap: Kinsey Wells Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Northridge + How To Watch

Roosevelt's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Northridge Grizzlies. The win continues a trend for the Roughriders in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won eight in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Roosevelt took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-13, 25-12.

Roosevelt's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kinsey Wells led the charge by getting six digs and five aces. Wells is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last 12 games she's played. Reese Pope was another key player, getting 11 digs and four assists.

They weren't the only good servers: Roosevelt was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They are 10-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Northridge, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Roosevelt wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Greeley Central on the 8th. As for Northridge, they will welcome Thompson Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
