Basketball Recap: Carroll Comes Up Short

Carroll lost against Flour Bluff back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Carroll Tigers fell 77-64 to the Flour Bluff Hornets. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (56), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Carroll has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season. As for Flour Bluff, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-13.

Carroll and Flour Bluff could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Carroll (ranked 655th) will meet Gregory-Portland (ranked 202nd) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Flour Bluff will challenge Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 461 places (478 vs. 17).
