Jaden Jefferson Dazzles in Cathedral Victory

Starting off the list is Cathedral's Jaden Jefferson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Jefferson threw for 341 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.8 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 49 yards. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

Jefferson and Cathedral will venture away from home to challenge St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson will face off against Jassi Williams, the Warriors' star QB. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Isaac Fajardo Delivers Best Effort of Season

St. Francis was led to victory by Isaac Fajardo, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Fajardo rushed for 135 yards and three touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

If the past is any indication, Fajardo could be in store for another big game when he takes on Paraclete on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Fajardo saw the Spirits), he rushed for 77 yards and two touchdowns.

Marley Luatua Turns in Another Game with at Least 102 Rushing Yards

Marley Luatua continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his third-straight game with at least 102 rushing yards. He rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 57 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

St. Paul now has a winning record of 4-3. Luatua and St. Paul will challenge Bishop Alemany at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Quentin Hale Crosses Big Stat Threshold

On Friday, Cathedral got the W thanks in part to Quentin Hale playing the best football he has all season. Hale picked up 203 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average receiving yardage north of 100 yards per game (103.1). He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 99 yards.

This year, Hale has caught 9 touchdowns while averaging 103.1 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had one receiving touchdown.
