Shady Side Academy is on a three-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Penn Hills an 11-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Shady Side Academy Bulldogs will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Penn Hills Indians at 3:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Shady Side Academy fell victim to Highlands and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Rams.

Meanwhile, Penn Hills also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 18-0 to Franklin Regional on Wednesday.

Shady Side Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Penn Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Penn Hills' hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Shady Side Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Penn Hills, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 strikeouts. Will Shady Side Academy keep running through batters, or will Penn Hills buck the trend?
