Football Recap: Nick Thompson and Ethan Tucker Pace Miller Defense

If Miller was feeling good fresh off their 52-14 takedown of Southern last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons fell just short of the Berne Union Rockets by a score of 20-18 on Friday. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Miller lost, don't look at Zander Bice. Despite the final result, he rushed for 208 yards and two touchdowns. Bice is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 157 every time he's taken the field this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Miller fell to 3-1. As for Berne Union, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Miller will host Grove City Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 10.2 points per game this season, so the Falcons' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Berne Union, they will challenge Millersport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
