Madera took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against McLane, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Madera narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past McLane 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Coyotes have posted since March 14th.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (100-97) Madera actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 11-25, 25-20, 21-25, 15-9.

Madera now has a winning record of 15-14. As for McLane, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-7.

Looking ahead, Madera will challenge Sanger at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McLane, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Edison at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
