Basketball Recap: El Paso-Gridley Takes a Loss

El Paso-Gridley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. The contest between them and the Tri-Valley Vikings didn't end well, with the El Paso-Gridley Titans falling 65-51. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 355th, while the Vikings are ranked 161st).

El Paso-Gridley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Tri-Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

El Paso-Gridley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tri-Valley, they have already played their next game, a 60-51 loss against Tremont on the 18th.
