Softball Recap: Cambridge Takes a Loss

Cambridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Clinton Cougars, falling 9-0. The Bluejays were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Cambridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Clinton, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cambridge will venture away from home to face off against Wisconsin Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vanguards have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.5 runs per game on average), something the Bluejays will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Clinton, they will head out to challenge Delavan-Darien at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Comets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.6 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
