Basketball Recap: Chris Suber and Isaiah Stanley Secure Win for Deep Run

Deep Run won the last time they faced Freeman and things went their way on Friday too. The Deep Run Wildcats snuck past the Freeman Mavericks with a 64-60 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Leading Deep Run to victory were Isaiah Stanley and Chris Suber. Stanley went 7 of 10 on his way to 15 points along with five boards and three steals, while Suber dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten assists. Suber is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Quentin Morgan was another key player, putting up 11 points.

The victory got Deep Run back to even at 2-2. As for Freeman, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Deep Run Wildcats take on the Hermitage Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Freeman will take on Maggie Walker in a holiday battle at at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
