Softball Recap: Dover Takes a Loss

Dover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Glen Rose Beavers.

Dover's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Glen Rose, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Dover will take on Westside at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rebels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.17 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Glen Rose, they will square off against Mount St. Mary Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Belles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.3 runs per game on average), something the Beavers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
