Mineral Wells gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They won by a run and slipped past the Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees 4-3. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by just one run.

Mineral Wells has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Stephenville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mineral Wells is set to square off against their familiar foe Graham at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Stephenville will take on rival Glen Rose at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
