If Monument Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Miami-Yoder, they should've done a better job of containing Jesus Cruz. The Buffaloes came out on top against the Lynx by a score of 41-32 on Wednesday for which the team can thank Cruz, who dropped a triple-double with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 14 steals. The game was his third in a row with at least 17 points.

Julian Beltran was another key player, putting up 11 points along with eight steals and five boards. Beltran is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Miami-Yoder now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Monument Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Miami-Yoder won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Flagler at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monument Academy, they will be home for the holidays to greet Hanover at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
