Basketball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence was the 34-33 winner over Mulvane when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Independence Bulldogs took a 56-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mulvane Wildcats.

Independence now has a losing record at 0-1-1. As for Mulvane, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Independence will take on Labette County in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mulvane and Augusta will compete for holiday cheer on Tuesday.
