Buffalo Grove is a perfect 8-0 against Wheeling since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Bison will look to defend their home pitch against the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Buffalo Grove's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 11 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Buffalo Grove fell victim to Hersey and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 7-0 to the Huskies. While losing is never fun, Buffalo Grove can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 191st, while Hersey are ranked 50th).

Meanwhile, Wheeling came into Monday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out Senn 3-2.

Buffalo Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-2. As for Wheeling, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-11.

Everything went Buffalo Grove's way against Wheeling in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Buffalo Grove made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Bison have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
