After losing to Dickson the last time they met, Lone Grove decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Lone Grove Longhorns blew past the Dickson Comets 54-29 on Friday. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Comets are ranked 413th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lone Grove has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.6 points over those games. As for Dickson, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-19.

Lone Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dickson, they will take on Madill at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Madill will roll in looking for their 20th straight win, something Dickson surely won't give up without a fight.
