            The Bloomfield Bengals will head out to  take on the Union City Soaring Eagles  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Bloomfield will be strutting in after a  victory while Union City will be coming in after a  defeat.
Bloomfield proved they can win big  on Saturday (they won by ten) and  on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Hoboken  3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Bengals have posted  since May 14, 2024.
  Noah Attas was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with one  triple and one  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Joey Payne, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI.
Meanwhile, Union City fell victim to Ramsey and their airtight pitching crew  on Friday. They came up short against  the Rams, falling  14-0. Having soared to a lofty ten  runs in the game before, the Soaring Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Union City saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Steven Roque, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  stolen base.
 Bloomfield's victory  ended  a  seven-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 6-12. As for Union City, their loss dropped their record down to 16-6.
 Bloomfield couldn't quite get it done against Union City when the teams last played  back in May of 2024 as they fell  7-3. Can the Bengals avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
