Softball Game Preview: Rogers Eagles vs. Little River Academy Bumblebees

Rogers and Little River Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Rogers Eagles will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Little River Academy Bumblebees at 6:00 p.m. Rogers has given up an average of 7.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Rogers and Little River Academy, and Little River Academy kept the tradition alive. Rogers lost 18-3 to Little River Academy on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered against the Bumblebees since April 21, 2017.

Rogers saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kinley Caldwell, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Caldwell also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

Rogers' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Little River Academy, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
