Baseball Game Preview: Gorton Wolves vs. Lincoln Lancers

The Gorton Wolves will face off against the Lincoln Lancers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Gorton is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

Riverside hit Gorton with a four-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolves fell just short of the Rams by a score of 5-3.

Abdiel Almanzar spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 15 Ks.

On the hitting side, Aaron Hernandez was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
