Football Recap: La Marque Skates Past Houston Math Science & Tech with Ease

La Marque got themselves on the board against Houston Math Science & Tech on Friday, but Houston Math Science & Tech never followed suit. They blew past the Tigers 64-0. The match marked the Cougars' most dominant win of the season so far.

La Marque found their leader in sophomore Deuce Walker, who threw for 216 yards and four TDs while completing 92.3% of his passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Those four passing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Walker. Another player making a difference was Cory Hosea, who rushed for 105 yards on only seven carries.

La Marque's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Houston Math Science & Tech, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

La Marque and Houston Math Science & Tech will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cougars will challenge rival Harmony School of Innovation at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Houston Math Science & Tech is set to square off against their familiar foe Bellaire at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
